Is Morality Subjective?

By Randell Stroud

After spending a quiet evening reading the book of Poverbs in the Christian Bible, I began to ask myself--- "Is it truly realistic to live up to these guidelines?" The next morning, I began to read, "The Prince", by Niccolo Machiavelli who seems to agree that morality is subjective. Society has etched these ideas in our hearts that murder, lying, cheating, and stealing are wrong or undesirable. Not many would disagree, and neither would Niccolo Machiavelli, however, does our society truly practice what it preaches?

"Treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself."- Bible

"Beat out the competition at any cost!" - Your mother and father

We are raised with a duality in society. During our early years, we are instilled with a sense of morality that is so black and white, yet as we enter our adult years, we quickly realize that most people would set aside their moral values if it would benefit them, especially in extreme survival situations.

While it may be unfathomable to steal a loaf of bread while your bank account is full, your mind may alter or justify this action if you were a single parent who had no money at all. You may find the act of murder reprehensible until you discover that your brother or sister had been raped or murdered. Upon learning of this, you go into a murderous rage yourself!

"No sex before marriage", is what your parents will say, yet when asked of them, their faces become red with embarrassment, because they themselves did not likely follow this rule. After all, men and women were literally designed to procreate with one another. Our opposing genitalia is biological evidence of this design, whether it be through evolution or intelligent design.

When we dig a bit deeper into this conversation, suddenly our world-view begins to crash downwards. Is nothing sacred? Are their no rules? Is it all just figments of imagination imposed on us through unchallenged tradition? Or were such rules developed out of trial and error, a strict warning from our ancestors who had already experienced the tribulations of hedonism.

I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle. We are a people of justification. Our court systems reflect this. To murder someone out of calculated malice is considered a "1st degree murder.". Whereas, if we accidentally murdered someone because of some extreme circumstance, it would be classified as "involuntary manslaughter". Then there is petty theft, then there is grand larceny. So even the act of stealing has different categories.

In the legal system, we separate an evil act into two categories. "Mens rea" and "actus rea". The "Actus Rea"- is latin for, - "The action that has taken place". So, if I were to shoot someone in the chest with a firearm which lead to their death, this scenario would be labeled as the "actus reas". The tricky part comes in when we dissect the "mens rea". --Latin for, "The mental status".

If I were to shoot someone in the chest with a firearm and kill them, it would undoubtedly be a murder. However, the "mens rea" (the motivation- mental state), behind the killing would determine my judgement. If the murder was planned, calculated, and performed with a clear mind, the murder would be considered "unjustifiable". Let's say that I came home from work and witnessed my wife performing a sexual act on another man on my bed, and without thinking, I picked up an object and struck the man in the head out of anger, accidentally killing the man.

In this situation, the "Mens Rea", (mental state), was not stable, clear, sane, or able to function properly. Depending on the jury and the judge, I may be exonerated, given probation, or charged with a felony, it all depends on other details surrounding the story.

When it comes to morality, I believe our society judges our action in the same way. If a man got locked up in prison for 10 years, and upon release, discovered that his wife had an affair while he was incarcerated, she may justify her action by saying, "You were gone for so long, thus, I had needs." Even though her action is still wrong, there is some justification to her misdeed. Or, if a homeless person stole a loaf of bread, the person would still be considered a thief, yet society would have some sympathy for them.

Mercy and forgiveness are usually given to these types of people who find themselves in unique positions that challenge their morals. However, it is when those people who murder, rape, steal, and pillage with a clear and concise motive, without justification, that society removes itself from its own morality to punish the actor with similar actions. In the Bible, this is known as the "An eye for eye" principle. Cold blooded murderers are generally executed, In cases where there is clear evidence of aggressive rape-- rapists have often been castrated. Thieves who stole just because they were too lazy to work often had their hands cut off. These actions show that civilized men are willing to be just as violent as their perpetrators. So much for turning the other cheek! This is why the idea of the death penalty is highly debated.

For this and many other reasons, morality is highly debated. However, it is universally agreed upon that "harm meets harm." If you cause someone pain without clear justification, it will be assumed that some sort of retaliation will be brought back against you. Morality is no so much of a spiritual concept more than it is a survivalist concept.

Morality also works in the positive. When we do nice things for people, generally, pleasant things are returned to us. Whether it be a gift in return, a thank you, a handshake, or a warm embrace by way of hugging! Morality is something is learned, not only through man-made or religious laws, but also through observance of natural law. "This begets that". "Cause and effect."

So, there are plenty of reasons to spread goodwill into the world. There are religious reasons, (Buddhism, Christianity speaks upon this), there are natural reasons, and there are economic reasons. Studies show that companies who give back to society are not only more trusted but they also benefit from the tax write-offs! Killing your enemy or defaming him may be a quicker way to win a short-term battle, but it may incite more enemies to come against thus resulting you in losing the long-term war.

Take the story of Chinese General, Yue Fei. His background was so pure, free of scandals or skeletons in his closet, that his enemies were forced to poison his food in order to get rid of his presence. It was impossible to fabricate false-charges against him because his reputation was so pure and trusted. However, even after he was poisoned, the truth eventually came out which brought great dishonor against the criminals and their families.

Keeping your reputation clean is imperative in this world. Once you develop a reputation for being a liar, a cheater, a thief, a killer, --- it will take much work to reverse such a reputation. Our thoughts precede our words, and our words precede our actions. Then again, many innocent men and women have been unfairly condemned. Jesus Christ being the best example. His only crime was his challenge to the state and their authority. He had no violence or malice in his words or actions. Yet, in a world ruled by an economic elite combined with a vast array of unjust laws, sometimes the righteous man can be transformed into a supposedly evil man by way of statute and law!

In conclusion, morality cannot be totally summed up by religion or man made courts. At the end of the day, it is only YOU would can look into the mirror and say, "I try to be a good person while surviving the days fight." Surviving in this mundane superficial Earthy existence sometimes requires us to reduce our values, yet you had better be justified in doing so! The fast food worker who serves unhealthy food to the public. The soldier who is forced to kill. The lawyer who defended a guilty man. We all face times in our lives were we must question our values or are forced to go against them.

So, what does it mean to be a "Good person" or an "evil person". A good person tries to live in a such a way where his needs are taken care of where he will not find himself in a position of having to be an "evil person" just to survive. If the good person is forced to compromise his values in order to survive, he will surely have guilt in his heart and ask for forgiveness. The Good person may perform an "evil act" but only if he is left no other option. He considers his future as well as the people around him.

The evil person will steal even when his wallet is full. He will kill just because it satisfies his blood lust. He will indulge in risky sexual behavior just because he thinks it feels good. He will lie just because it takes less time than explaining the whole story. The evil person has absolutely no qualms about his behavior so long as he/she is benefiting or enjoying himself. People are not human beings, but rather they are "play things" for his or her own entertainment.

Morality isn't black and white, but there is a universal rule. "If you can't convince 90 out of 100 people from various religious or cultural backgrounds that your actions are noble, then they probably arent!" Watch any nature show on television. Even animals will rarely kill for sport, and when they do, retaliation is often met.

"Do good and receive good."
"Do evil and receive evil."
"Do nothing and receive nothing."

Perhaps it is the art of "non-doing" or "non-existence" in society, that is the most noble path of all. The path of the hermit, the ascetic, or monk. Be a monk, visit the city on occasion, and return to solitude! Sometimes, especially those who come from poor backgrounds, get so good at merely surviving, that the idea of peace, stability, and communion becomes a foreign emotion to them. Hence why many people in low-income areas turn to drug dealing and theft to support themselves, yet do not know when to stop even as their profit margins reach into the millions. (See Ricky Ross.)

What do you guys think? Is morality objective or subjective? How do you define a good person vs an evil person? How do you reconcile purist beliefs with pragmatism?

Facebook SEO Tips

By Peg Murrah

When I first think about Facebook, I don't think about SEO. Since I spend a lot of time on my personal profile page, updating friends and family, I don't always think about the power behind the platform.

Facebook is undeniably a SEO powerhouse. Digital marketing influencers have long been talking about the marketing capability of Facebook, but this goes beyond just Facebook Ads (which are powerful enough in their own right).

Here are some quick tips to help you get started:

Claim your personal/vanity URL - These URL's are heavily weighted on search engines, so take your time and really think about what you want it to be. Be careful though... it's tough to change once you set it.
Keep your Facebook page name simple, specific enough but not too specific that its limiting (i.e. if you are a marriage counselor, focus your name around love or relationships, so if you go into other kinds of relationship/personal coaching later, your page name is still relevant.
Use keywords strategically, in your about, mission, and company description sections (keep in mind that these sections can be re-ordered, so play around with this while you're there!).
Link everything together. Link your Facebook page to other existing channels (Twitter/ Instagram/ your website and blog).
Optimize your Facebook business page status updates (your first 18 characters serve as your meta description, choose carefully because they will serve as the SEO title for that update).

But how do I know what keywords to use?

Research is paramount to help you determine the keywords you want to use. Keywords are used in your social media bios, post titles and content, URL's - to use in your description, don't just load your available text space with keywords, create a description that makes sense, while also incorporating keywords. You have more than one opportunity to use keywords, you also use them in blog posts and page updates.

How do I research keywords?

You know your business best. To start brainstorming keywords:

What do you sell? Do a search, what other keywords do you see?
Review industry publications, Amazon/eBay, other niche sites, online ads, niche forums - what words do you see consistently coming up?
And here's an amazing tip - look at what comes up in autocomplete when searching in Google- you can see what's being searched post often by looking at what is suggested, Amazon has a similar functionality, so look there too!

Focus Is What Creates Wealth

By Kevin Amolsch

A few months ago, I wrote about the two driving forces in every decision we make. Each decision you make is based on your attempt to avoid pain or pursue pleasure. In many areas of our lives, pain seems more intense and therefore, most of us base our decisions trying to avoid pain. Take someone who is out of shape for example. Are they out of shape because they do not possess the knowledge to get in shape? No, we know what it takes to be in shape, but we also know it's hard, it takes work and commitment. For some, the idea of not eating what they want and working out is more painful than the pleasure of being in shape. Being in financial shape is not different. We know that we need to budget our personal finances and we need to earn more than we spend to be in good financial health, but some people associate too much pain with not spending, so they spend. Each person has their own associations with pain and pleasure. In the article I wrote a few months ago, I focused on the benefits of pain and how it is necessary to reach your goals and how we should not avoid it. Success does not come easy and pain is part of that journey.

Knowing that pain is positive helps us when we are going to make a decision that could cause pain, but that knowledge alone might not be enough. What can make a big difference is our ability to focus on the pursuit of pleasure over the avoidance of pain. The idea is to make the thought of the pleasure more powerful than the thought of the pain. This is done in two ways:

GOALS

Obviously, we know goals are important in business. In fact, some will argue you will not be successful without them. What is not so easy to understand is why goals are so important. By having and focusing on goals, you are focusing on what you want, which is the pleasure we get from the decisions we make. When you are newer to business I would suggest focusing on a SMART goal, but my SMART goal might be a little different than what you have been taught.

Specific: The more specific your goal is the better. Your picture of what you want should be very clear.

Measurable: A goal like getting into shape is not only not specific but it cannot be measured. How will you know when you reach it? Great goals are easy to measure and know when they are accomplished.

Action Focused: This is the one that changes a little from what others are teaching. When you are getting started, created goals that are based on actions will help you. This is because they are easy to accomplish, and you can create some momentum. Small success leads to great things. For example, you might want to make a goal that you will make 5 offers each day or each week instead of doing one deal a month. Although you might want to do a deal a month, the focus should be on the actionable items that will get you there.

Reasonable: This is one that is challenging for a lot of us. We hear that if you shoot for the stars and miss, at least you will land on the moon. Although I do believe that we need to think big, I also understand that we need to believe our goals are attainable or we will not hit them. Our mind is so incredibly powerful that if it does not believe you can hit the goal... you can't. My advice is to make short term goals that stretch you, but that you believe are possible. As you start hitting your goals you will be expanding your mind and can create bigger and bigger goals. There is also nothing wrong with dreaming or setting lofty longer-term goals. That too can be very positive in your development.

Time Based: As mentioned above I like the idea of short term goals. My preference is a year or less on the actual goals that you are going to focus on. Monthly goals work well. There should also be rewards for hitting these short terms goals. In no case should your goal not come with a definitive date to accomplish.

BIG WHY

I have written several articles and posts about this, so I will not spend too much time here, but it is important to mention that it is my strong opinion that your why is the one fail safe way to have success in anything you do. As long as your why is big enough, you cannot fail. Period.

The second way to shift your focus to the pleasure is your big why. Your why is very different than a goal, as it might not meet any of the SMART criteria. It is huge, much bigger than you, and is often something that is hard for you to even realize you are capable of accomplishing. Your goals will be based on this, but it is not something that you are tracking in most cases. It is often times much bigger than you, like leaving a legacy or helping or starting a charity. It is my why that keeps me going when things get hard and it is my why that helps me make decisions that I know will cause some temporary pain. It helps you bust through fear.

By focusing on your dreams and your goals you will be able to look past temporary pain, so you can create lifelong pleasure. Combine this strategy with the knowledge that pain is positive and you will be unstoppable!

The Power of Prayer in Prophecy

By Craig Condon

What is the most important item involved in both prophecy and God's plans? It is prayer, and there is a good example in Daniel 9:1-19. This passage took place on the Sabbath. Daniel read the scroll containing the prophecies of the prophet Jeremiah. As he read Jeremiah's words, he wept as he was reminded how God's people had ignored the prophet's warnings that the Israelites would be captured because they did not follow God's law.

When Daniel read the prophecy of Jeremiah 25:8-11, almost 70 years had passed since he and his fellow Israelites were carried away into captivity. Daniel was sensitive to what the prophet Jeremiah taught about divine sovereignty and human responsibility. He knew what God had said, because Jeremiah made it clear. Prophetic truth drove him to his knees. A deep understanding of the Word of God and the will of God motivated Daniel's fervent prayer. The prayers of God's people ought to be similarly motivated.

Daniel confessed the sins of the people as their representative. He recognized that in order to release his people from their captivity, there had to be a confession of sin on the part of the people. God had warned if the Israelites failed to keep His covenant and disobeyed the law, they would be taken into exile by a foreign nation and restored only because of His faithfulness and mercy. Rebellious Christians can never do enough to reconcile with God. Only because of God's mercy and faithfulness are they forgiven and restored.

In response to Daniel's prayer, God revealed His plan for the Jewish people. God was not finished with them, despite their unfaithfulness to Him. That plan involved:

1. Bringing sin under control so it would not grow and flourish any more.
2. Eliminating sin.
3. Atoning for sins.
4. Bringing in everlasting righteousness.
5. Fulfilling all prophecies when Christ comes and establishes His kingdom.
6. Establishing Christ's Kingdom on earth.

God's plan doesn't mean that we can sit back and relax. On the contrary, the plan requires us to act and get involved. Just like the disciples were told to go into the world and spread the Gospel, Daniel had a responsibility to ask God about His plans.

Similarly, we have a responsibility to ask God about His plans for our lives. This involves coming to God in prayer. God does hear, honour and answer prayer. God heard Daniel's prayer to restore the people. This happened because one person devoted to the Lord became an example of prayerfulness and was used by God to stir up others to do the same thing.

True prayer is based on the fact that God is a God who looks for us and who wants us to look for Him. If we look for Him, He will tell us what He has promised to do and what His plan for our lives is. We have to ask in accordance with God's will.

True prayer always seeks the glory of God. It should be our motive for living. It should be people-oriented and God-centered. Daniel shows us how to pray with both power and confidence. He went to his knees. His prayers were filled with passion and a strong sense of personal helplessness. He was righteous. Specifically, the key to powerful and effective prayer is to follow these steps:

1. Start with praise. Praise God for His glory, power and love. Thank Him for providing for you.
2. Confess your sins
3. Appeal for mercy
4. Ask God to act
5. Pray the will of God. Study HIs Word. Understand His will for your life.
6. Never give up.

What stirs our hearts to prayer? Is it a trial or tragedy, or is it based on a persistent pursuit of our personal relationship with God based on His Word? We should pray on a regular basis rather that speaking with God only in times of crisis. God wants us to intercede, to grow in love for Him, and love others.

The Do Not's When Optimizing Your Site For Search Engines

By Piotr Dariusz Makowski

If you decide to incorporate the use of unusual or fake words in your content, such use can also support your brand efforts, and even help define an internet advertising campaign. Consider all the businesses you can think of off the top of your head that use non-words in their marketing.

Determine to choose fake words that have a clear meaning that will likely not be misunderstood to avoid accidentally insulting an individual or group. Try getting opinions about the word before incorporating it into your internet sites to avoid any difficulties or misunderstanding that might arise.

Before you incorporate a fake word into your SEO efforts, use tools such as Google translate to make sure the word does not mean something in another language that will take away from your business reputation or imply a meaning you didn't intend. Although it's likely your fake word will come up in another language, it won't necessarily mean you shouldn't use the word if its meaning is neutral or unrelated to your business or service.

Don't be afraid of developing a new phrase or expression. Consider that Google itself is a neologism, a new expression that didn't exist in terms of its meaning today. Similarly, the word blog has come into general use.

Never forfeit clarity for novelty if you're considering using unusual phrasing in your business internet sites. Most of all you are trying to communicate with customers and potential customers, and every choice of language should reflect that goal. Today's SEO is more geared than ever at supporting language that provides clarity by reflecting natural language rather than language generated specifically for SEO improvement.

Using fad language may require frequent updating and modification of your content and ultimately be of limited or of not benefit to your SEO efforts. Slang can be popular for a month, a year, or make it into dictionaries, and it's frequently difficult to tell without waiting and seeing what happens.

If you're using popular non-words that are currently used as slang in any of your internet content, choose wisely with consideration towards whether someone has intellectual property rights on the phrase you're using, and whether the association of the unusual wording is either more casual or in some other way contradictory to your business.

Using unusual words or made up words can sometimes help your SEO efforts. Use the tips above before you incorporate made-up language into your internet content.

Choose your subject matter for your website. If you want to do a homepage that focuses on a variety of things, that is all well and good. But forget about optimizing it for search engines. You need to have no more than five primary keywords that your content revolves around, and these keywords need to be pretty similar to one another.

Preventing Website Stagnation and Stay Ahead of the Competition

By Ben C

You've created a great website, incorporating all your knowledge in the content and website traffic is booming. You're a success and all the hard work you've done is now, seeming all worth it.

You leave your creation to continue its success but then... stagnation! You notice your website;

Stops receiving revisiting customers
Becomes reliant on new visitors to approach you
Starts lowering in search engine rankings
Had the perfect content and now it just doesn't seem to be doing the trick

This is when you need to upgrade your website and we're going to highlight changes you need to notice early and then contact web design experts to get your website back to where it deserves to be.

Search Engine's algorithm changes

Algorithm changes are the most difficult to notice, search engine publishments are not advertised anywhere and they include subtle changes regarding their algorithm for ranking on keywords. As a consequence, your previous Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) plan may not conform and require a change, update or tweak to perform better. Look at your website, do the structure and layout require changing to conform to changes imposed by a search engine? Yes? Then it's time to speak to an expert who can make your website SEO friendly.

Slow loading

One of the factors within a search engine's algorithm is website speed, a slow load speed can be a sign of overloaded or incorrectly formatted content. Web designers are able to re-format content and designs for the page to load at optimal speed. Not only will a low site speed affect your SEO but research1 has seen that longer load times for visitors coincides with increased bounce rates (more detail provided below) and look towards a potential competitor.

Security

The longer a website has existed without platform updates and implementation of security features, the more it will have become vulnerable to security risks. "Hackers" find holes or gateways through security settings in specific types of websites and unfortunately these holes are exploited to access customer and financial details. You need to ensure your website is secure, as this will be important to any visitor to your site, especially if they are performing electronic transactions through your website.

Mobile friendly

Search engine publishments have highlighted that websites must be mobile friendly to rank higher, due to the ever-increasing reliance to search whilst on the move. It is essential that your website is user-friendly on mobiles whilst also having optimal site speed. Web designers utilise tools to produce a mobile friendly responsive design for mobile users and maintain your search engine ranking.

High bounce rate

Can you see that the volume of visitors is consistent however engagement with your content is significantly decreasing? Then it's time for an update across all your website's features, you need to look at the content, design and structure to identify possibilities for new and interesting content and the presentation of that content to new and returning customers.

Not capturing sales leads

Any site providing a product or service will have a reliance on new sales leads being captured through their website. You must then identify why this has occurred, such as; old content, difficult user-experience or a lack of progression in marketing the products/services. Look at what features you need to enhance your website and make sure you act quick.

Abnormal Bleeding After Pregnancy

By Emma Kalman

Waiting for the baby to be born during the nine months of pregnancy is not quite an easy thing. The woman's body normally undergoes a lot of changes, not to mention all the anxiety, stress and emotions.

Once the baby is born and pregnancy ends, a completely new life starts for you. When it comes to vaginal bleeding, lochia is something that follows birth. This discharge helps the body eliminate all the supportive tissue left in the uterus.

There is nothing for you to worry about. However, sometimes bleeding after pregnancy occurs and even medical treatment may be needed in order to stop the blood flow.

Any abnormal blood loss from the uterus occurring immediately after birth is known as postpartum hemorrhage. After pregnancy, it usually occurs within the first 24 hours after giving birth. It can occur at any point during the first 12 weeks after giving birth.

Signs and symptoms of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

Making the difference between normal lochia and abnormal bleeding is sometimes a hard thing to do. If you notice the presence of red blood even after a week following delivery, this could be a sign of abnormal vaginal bleeding.

If you notice a presence of fever or chills, this might be a sign of abnormal vaginal bleeding too. Any change in the odor of the lochia is another sign of abnormal bleeding, as normal lochia shouldn't have a bad smell.

If you need to change the sanitary napkin every hour then you are probably bleeding more than normally, another indication of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy. Late postpartum hemorrhage is also possible, occurring even after one month of giving birth.

What causes abnormal bleeding after pregnancy?

After birth, if the blood vessels that supported the placenta don't close off properly, bleeding may occur. Normally the uterus should start contracting immediately after the delivery, closing this way the blood vessels.

If this does not occur, then the blood vessels can't close off properly. Prolonged labor, the use of certain medications during labor and delivery or even too much stretching of the uterus from the amniotic fluid can cause problems.

It can cause problems with the uterine contraction after birth, causing abnormal bleeding. The main problem with abnormal bleeding after pregnancy is the loss of blood. It is a serious and even life-threatening problem if not diagnosed and treated on time.

Other less severe complications include anemia, low blood pressure, etc. If postpartum hemorrhage stopped correctly after birth, it can start again at any point during the first month following birth.

Further blood loss is always possible during the first 6 weeks of recovery after childbirth.

Risk factors for abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

Some women have an increased risk of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy than others. Risk factors include:

• Placental abruption,

• Placenta increta, percreta, or accrete,

• Placenta previa,

• Retained placenta,

• Uterine atony,

• Uterine rupture,

• Uterine inversion,

• Lacerations during delivery,

• C-section,

• Using medications during pregnancy to stop preterm labor,

• Using medications to induce labor,

• Prolonged labor,

• Quick labor,

• Getting general anesthesia during C-section,

• Obesity,

• Preeclampsia,

• Gestational hypertension,

• Chorioamnionitis,

• Disseminated intravascular coagulation,

• Willebrand disease,

• Having had abnormal bleeding after pregnancy in the past,

• Being Asian or Hispanic, etc.

How is abnormal bleeding after pregnancy treated?

First of all, it is very important to identify    abnormal uterine bleeding occurring immediately after delivery. Once diagnosed, the doctor or midwife will try stimulating uterine contractions by massaging the uterus and trying this way to stop the bleeding. An administration of synthetic oxytocin is also recommended. Synthetic oxytocin is a hormone that promotes uterine contractions.

If these methods don't help and the bleeding is not controlled, a compression of the arteries that supply the uterus is the next step. Checking the uterus for any cuts, tears, or remaining of any pieces of the placenta is also a must, which could be causing a continued loss of blood after pregnancy. Hysterectomy and laparotomy are necessary in cases when no other conservative treatment methods have worked to control the bleeding and stop it.

Prevention of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

Often problems during pregnancy or during delivery and after childbirth can be prevented by a close monitoring of the pregnant woman. Regular ultrasound examinations and physical examinations can identify any problem. It can also prepare the healthcare provider and you for any complications. However, it is not always possible to identify bleeding after pregnancy or prevent it.

A close monitoring of the woman for the first hour following birth is a must. This way your doctor or midwife will be able to identify and treat the abnormal bleeding on time. As mentioned, if not diagnosed and treated on time abnormal bleeding after pregnancy is a life-threatening condition. This is especially true if the bleeding occurring immediately after birth. Luckily, this kind of issues after pregnancy occurs rarely.

Only 1 to 5 women of 100 women may develop it after pregnancy.

How to Create a Successful Social Media Campaign

By Sara Brooke

A successful social media marketing campaign is a mix of resourceful strategies. Such strategies when adopted & tweaked by brands & businesses for their own campaigns & events guarantee quite some success. Today I am going to share a list of social media campaign strategies that vary from using social media UGC to strategizing campaign goals & pushing conversations actively. What's best suited for your business? Read to find more-

1. Strategize Wisely

Social media campaigns require careful planning before, during & after the event. The beauty of a great campaign is that it develops perfect communication with the targeted audience. The social media campaign idea must connect with them.

A great strategy is to plan effectively around the event. A proper timeline must be developed to study the deliverables of the campaign, the contests that'll run & the influence that the campaign will bring about in the market.

As said earlier, strategizing is required before, during & after the event. Hence, for a one-day event, plan three days around it. It's important to understand that you cannot magically attract the audience without effective planning & engaging content. Furthermore, putting engaging content out to reach the right audience is also essential.

2. Strike & Push Conversations Actively

Starting conversations for social media campaigns is essential. What's more essential is to push those conversations thoroughly. A successful campaign for an event invites participation from the community. To encourage this, request responses from your audience to questions, request them to drop in their feedback, stories & experiences in the comments. Such practices boost engagement.

Often your audience is unaware of your social media marketing campaign & your content does not reach the audience. You must let your customers know the opportunities you're creating for them via your social network campaign. Simple practices of displaying your social media icons on your blog/website don't do the magic.

Push your conversations & engagement intensively to let your campaign reach the right audience & be successful thereafter.

3. Countdown Approach

The countdown approach is a great social media campaign idea & tool as it creates excitement in the audience. Counting down to the final day of the social media campaign can build great curiosity.

A countdown can give different reasons to wait for the final day or it can be a countdown that discloses campaign highlights or surprises & clues each day. This way, people get curious & stay glued for your next post. People constantly check your brand updates & stay around until & after the campaign day.

Hence, the countdown approach is on our list of brilliant marketing campaign ideas. This approach can be tweaked as per campaign requirements or brand strategy & be worked upon accordingly too. A brand can choose to share different updates or in a different style.

4. Recycle Old Content

Recycling old content is a phenomenal social media campaign idea for ensuring campaign success. As a brand, you have access to content that did exceptionally well in the past with your audience. You know what content resonates with your audience & performs well on social network. Use that content- repurpose & use it.

Social media managers face the challenge of churning our creative content regularly. A campaign requires a ton of creative content to be put in. It requires creative ideas that resonate well with the audience, boost engagement & keep the audience constantly absorbed.

Old social & campaign content that performed well in the past is where you can pick up from. Repurposing old posts, pictures, videos & ideas is an easy way to manage the content flow. You can share by way of #throwback & encourage audience participation hand in hand.

Repurposing creative old content is like a blast from the past that your audience is bound to enjoy. You can also use UGC from previous online campaigns & refresh the memory of your UGC contributors. This way, you'll encourage them for participation again.

5. Run a Sweepstake

Organising a sweepstake works wonders for your campaign success. It is a great way to bring traction for your social network campaign. Offering prizes, discounts & other rewards help in gaining audience attention. A sweepstake can additionally be gated such as like-gating or share-gating etc. Sweepstakes induce people to like/share about your campaign in return for exciting prizes.

Sweepstakes can be gated to share user-generated content too. This way, your campaign can be a user-generated content marketing campaign. UGC campaigns are highly successful due to authenticity of content. UGC content can also be used in a variety of ways by a brand later, such as repurpose content etc.

Organising sweepstakes serve as an excellent marketing idea & hence we recommend its thorough use by brands.

People have a million and one things to think about and so will usually not be ready to buy at the time they see your blog but your presence will have been noted in the back of their mind.

This hopefully will lead to them recalling your brand and considering your offer when they do require what you are offering.

Keep Blogging
By keeping a visible presence online in the way of posts and articles will add to your credibility and will make it easier for you to get through doors.

People are naturally very sceptical about purchasing from someone new, so seeing your articles regularly will keep you in good stead and people will trust you and see you as an expert in your field.

Remember, people do need to see an ad or blog an average of 7 times to consider your offer or to take you seriously.

Where To Blog
There are a few free online blogging platforms for you to start blogging on.

Your blog needs to be one of 5 things to be successful and keep people interested.

Educational - Post "how to" guides to show people how to do things which they have no experience of.

Inspirational - Inspire people to take action on something they keep putting off

Keep all those in mind when you blog. It will make the difference whether people will switch off or not.

Creating a Blog Post - Some Basics

A good post will be between 300 - 900 words. Google prefers posts of this length and will index them easier.

Keywords should be at the beginning and end of every post.

Use Headings - I.e H 1, H2 Etc

Use good Headlines to capture attention. (Emotional Marketing Value Analyzer will help you.)

Think of your audience and what problems you can solve for them.
