Minimalism and Maximalism, What Is Maximalist Web Design?

By Paul Lambden Since the mid-2000s, the driving trend behind web design has been minimalism. Minimalist web design is based on the idea that less is more when it comes to creating an attractive, easy to navigate website. However, thanks to new advances in software and code creation, a new movement towards maximalism is starting to take hold. So what is Maximalist Web Design? If minimalism is basic shapes, a monochrome palette, and using only what is necessary, maximalism is the opposite. A grander, more involved approach that is associated with excess, extravagance, and a diversity of aesthetics that is aimed towards breaking the rules and creating a more vibrant result. In terms of web design, this means taking full advantage of the new software and codes that are available to designers, so they can break the mould of the current minimalist effort. Incorporating maximalist principles when designing a logo or a website can help your brand stand out from the crowd due to the bolder nat…

Body Language in Sports

By Ronni Cohen MessagingAristotle said that man is a "social animal" and a "linguistic animal." This convention is so anchored in our perception that it is hard to believe when psychologists claim that 90% of our communication is not verbal at all.The meaning of this fact is simple - we communicate and transmit many messages, without uttering a word. Chazal (the old Talmudic sages) said that life and death are in the hands of the tongue, but as soon as we realize that 90% of our communication is nonverbal, we must also be aware of the messages we convey in our nonverbal communication and how they affect those around us.How do athletes get better?Players learn to pass, kick, shoot, attack, stop, change direction, close running lines and many other skills. As they improve these skills, they become better and more effective in the game. They improve these skills for two reasons:Nonverbal communication in sportsIf the psychologists are not mistaken and 90% of our comm…

What Are the Reasons Behind the Growth in AI Revenue?

By Gunjan Dogra Revolution in AI Techniques:Over the past many years, Artificial Intelligence revolution has provided the quality response for the different range of technologies. I am going to explain main reasons for the growth in its revenue. Functions of speech recognition, face detection, fingerprint recognition and much more are operating quite accurate because of Deep learning techniques. Deep Learning technique is based on the Artificial Neural Networks. Achievement in this field can be judged by its different products like a novel technique for Image Recognition, Object Detection and Prediction System for the stock market. Is Morality Subjective?

By Randell Stroud After spending a quiet evening reading the book of Poverbs in the Christian Bible, I began to ask myself--- "Is it truly realistic to live up to these guidelines?" The next morning, I began to read, "The Prince", by Niccolo Machiavelli who seems to agree that morality is subjective. Society has etched these ideas in our hearts that murder, lying, cheating, and stealing are wrong or undesirable. Not many would disagree, and neither would Niccolo Machiavelli, however, does our society truly practice what it preaches?"Treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself."- Bible"Beat out the competition at any cost!" - Your mother and fatherWe are raised with a duality in society. During our early years, we are instilled with a sense of morality that is so black and white, yet as we enter our adult years, we quickly realize that most people would set aside their moral values if it would benefit them, especially in extreme survival sit…

Facebook SEO Tips

By Peg Murrah When I first think about Facebook, I don't think about SEO. Since I spend a lot of time on my personal profile page, updating friends and family, I don't always think about the power behind the platform.Facebook is undeniably a SEO powerhouse. Digital marketing influencers have long been talking about the marketing capability of Facebook, but this goes beyond just Facebook Ads (which are powerful enough in their own right). Here are some quick tips to help you get started:
Claim your personal/vanity URL - These URL's are heavily weighted on search engines, so take your time and really think about what you want it to be. Be careful though... it's tough to change once you set it.
Keep your Facebook page name simple, specific enough but not too specific that its limiting (i.e. if you are a marriage counselor, focus your name around love or relationships, so if you go into other kinds of relationship/personal coaching later, your page name is still relevant.

Focus Is What Creates Wealth

By Kevin Amolsch A few months ago, I wrote about the two driving forces in every decision we make. Each decision you make is based on your attempt to avoid pain or pursue pleasure. In many areas of our lives, pain seems more intense and therefore, most of us base our decisions trying to avoid pain. Take someone who is out of shape for example. Are they out of shape because they do not possess the knowledge to get in shape? No, we know what it takes to be in shape, but we also know it's hard, it takes work and commitment. For some, the idea of not eating what they want and working out is more painful than the pleasure of being in shape. Being in financial shape is not different. We know that we need to budget our personal finances and we need to earn more than we spend to be in good financial health, but some people associate too much pain with not spending, so they spend. Each person has their own associations with pain and pleasure. In the article I wrote a few months ago, I foc…

The Power of Prayer in Prophecy

By Craig Condon What is the most important item involved in both prophecy and God's plans? It is prayer, and there is a good example in Daniel 9:1-19. This passage took place on the Sabbath. Daniel read the scroll containing the prophecies of the prophet Jeremiah. As he read Jeremiah's words, he wept as he was reminded how God's people had ignored the prophet's warnings that the Israelites would be captured because they did not follow God's law. When Daniel read the prophecy of Jeremiah 25:8-11, almost 70 years had passed since he and his fellow Israelites were carried away into captivity. Daniel was sensitive to what the prophet Jeremiah taught about divine sovereignty and human responsibility. He knew what God had said, because Jeremiah made it clear. Prophetic truth drove him to his knees. A deep understanding of the Word of God and the will of God motivated Daniel's fervent prayer. The prayers of God's people ought to be similarly motivated.Daniel conf…

The Do Not's When Optimizing Your Site For Search Engines

By Piotr Dariusz Makowski If you decide to incorporate the use of unusual or fake words in your content, such use can also support your brand efforts, and even help define an internet advertising campaign. Consider all the businesses you can think of off the top of your head that use non-words in their marketing. Determine to choose fake words that have a clear meaning that will likely not be misunderstood to avoid accidentally insulting an individual or group. Try getting opinions about the word before incorporating it into your internet sites to avoid any difficulties or misunderstanding that might arise. Before you incorporate a fake word into your SEO efforts, use tools such as Google translate to make sure the word does not mean something in another language that will take away from your business reputation or imply a meaning you didn't intend. Although it's likely your fake word will come up in another language, it won't necessarily mean you shouldn't use the wo…
