The Streets of Nottingham Is a Magical Fantasy Journey

The Streets of Nottingham by the talented author Auckly Simwinga is a page-turning work of spellbinding fantasy and myth, a magical and fascinating first-person tale narrated by an adventurous and mysterious character only identified by his first name, Adam. It is a story that fans of fantasy will enjoy reading, because Adam goes on a quest that everyone thinks is impossible. There are gods and goddesses, wraiths, and creatures called demauglers, which are sort of like werewolves, but with bones showing here and there, as if they were zombie werewolves with attitudes.

Adam's quest involves trying to find a city called Nottingham, a place that ancient scrolls describe in detail, but a place that is reportedly impossible for anyone to ever reach. He wants to travel there to find a healer that the scrolls mention, to try to save the love of his life, a beautiful young woman named Marika, and bring her back from the dead, after their village is attacked by wraiths.

The Streets of Nottingham begins with a Prologue, and has only four chapters. The Prologue is supposedly an excerpt from a scroll, specifically, the 11th. Scroll, verses 1-6, and it is from a book called - what else - the "great book." The excerpt and what it reveals, Adam discovers, while he is on his quest, is basically the truth. At first, though, the language does not seem to him to be very straightforward, but more like a series of riddles. One example is when the excerpt mentions: "May the darkness be your guide."

"The Breaking of the World" is referred to quite a lot throughout The Streets of Nottingham. The world that Adam and Marika live in has drastically changed from what it was once like, as if it has broken in pieces, and fiery rivers separate the chunks of land that still exist.

The explanation that is contained in the scrolls is that a goddess called Rain, who is ebony-skinned and looks quite a bit to Adam like Marika, is one of the ones responsible for the breaking up of the world. A god-king, who is Marika's father, has had a major falling out with her, resulting in a "400-year war." The war began because he was not happy with Caelemon, the god she fell in love with. He transforms Caelemon into a brutish monster.

Adam cannot bear to be in the village he has lived in all his life, when he learns that it will soon be time for Marika to be cremated. That is when he embarks on his quest to find Nottingham and the healer reputed to be there, riding off on his horse, Shadow. Adam has many adventures along the way, and he gradually works out the meaning behind the excerpt, all to save Marika and bring her back to life.

While The Streets of Nottingham by Auckly Simwinga is a work of fiction that deals with tragic topics, it is also filled with joyous moments and hope, and readers will find themselves rooting for Adam, hoping that he succeeds in his noble quest. The moral of the story is to don't be lazy to reach out for what you want.

A snail and rose tree talks about the meaning of life. The snail stays in the shell and the rose tree puts forth leaves and roses every year. Nothing happens. Everything is the same and they feel that they have not make any development. In the last conversion, the rose tells the snail that they should offer the best to each other. But, the snail rebukes the rose remarking that he wants the world to be nothing to him. The rose tree is sad to hear the answer. But he starts to recollect about the happy moments about how her rose petals have been useful to others. Years passed, the rose tree withered and the snail is dead but the cycle of life continues. There are many new snails in the garden and a new rose tree grows in the place of the old rose tree that had withered away.

An oak tree was fell and his trunk was saw into planks to make other wooden furniture. A plank is laid over the stump for the children to play seesaw. The oak tree is frustrated that the children disrespect him by playing seesaw on his stump. He longed for the days when is the king of the little woods. He grumbles so loudly that the snail, Sir Helix is aroused from his sleep. Sir Helix reasoned with the oak tree that he is being made into seesaw because he is valuable. The oak tree bitterly responds that the snail should ask the seesawers about his value then. The snail reasoned that the oak stump is strong. The balance that the oak stump maintain on the seesaw plank keeps the children light-minded and happy without having to fear that they are going to fall.

4. The Stag and the Snail

The stag boasts that he is the fastest animals to his friends in the forest. A snail named Ka Mattah challenges him to a race from the Rubber grove to the top of Mount Shillong. On the racing day, the stag runs and runs to reach the goal at Mount Shillong. He would stop for a while after running some distance and ask if the snail is there. The snails that have formed a long line on the edge of the path would reply "I am here. I am here." The stag is panting when he reaches the Iei Mountain. He fainted and hears the snail shouting "I've won. I've won" out of exhaustion. He put so much strain on himself that he spits out his own gall bladder. This is the reason why a stag does not have gall bladder. It is a reminder that the pride of the stag has caused his defeat. Snail children story teaches the virtue that being slow doesn't mean that you are a loser. The moral is that you can have an achievement if you persist to be patient and keep up the progress to the end.

Anything Worth Doing Takes Practice

My son and his friend started a hat business. What was amazing is that I've been wanting to create hats for probably a year now. These boys had the idea, took action by finding the software to design them, and the manufacturer to make them. Done. Just like that. Funny how we tell ourselves all kinds of stories about what we can and can't do; whether it's about not being tech savvy or not having enough time, etc. If we have the will and make the DECISION it absolutely can be done!

In their selling of the hats I noticed something fascinating, that ALL entrepreneurs can benefit from. Read on below for more on this

My son and his friend started going door-to-door to sell their hats. I only WISH I had this type of training before starting my own business! They had a bunch of yes's and a few no's.

I immediately went into helping them manage this, with telling them it's okay to receive a no and their hats won't be for everyone, but to keep going and not to give up.

They sort of looked at me like I had a third eye.

They shrugged their shoulders and said they didn't care. They already went on to sell more hats and this in no way, shape or form affected their confidence OR self-esteem.

Fascinating.

I see the opposite all of the time with business owners and experienced it myself too. They start receiving no's and are able to talk themselves down at first, with saying things like there are 7 billion people on the planet, every no leads to a yes, that sort of thing.

But that's intellectual.

If your feelings don't match your thoughts, then talking yourself out of it won't work. Your feelings dictate what you get more of in your life. This is why we have to reconcile this.

The adults I've worked with need to realize what feelings comes up with receiving a no and where they stemmed from in childhood. From there we identify the decision they were making about themselves as a result. We can then rewrite their story.

Kids don't have a story.

They are confident already and don't have any negative feelings around sales to navigate through. They don't take it personally and move on.

They will therefore associate sales with positive feelings and likely won't have to shift anything in this area as adults. It will be interesting to see.

So with sales, as with anything else worth doing, it takes practice. Identifying the feelings blocking you is first, and then from there practicing being a more empowered version of you along with your technique is everything.

I was thinking yesterday when I was doing the floss (a dance!) with my son that I FINALLY learned after months of trying, that it just takes practice. Along with anything else.

So cut yourself a break and realize sales is no different - and that having the right feelings behind it underneath the surface will make all of the difference in your approach to practicing.

The ADX Is a Great Indicator That Every Trader Should Know

The ADX indicator has been a well used indicator trend indicator among traders. It has been highly rated for its ability to provide accurate information regarding momentum and the trend strength. This article analyses the components of the ADX and goes further systematically to outline the ways in which they can be utilized.

The ADX Line

The ADX indicator is made out of 3 lines. This includes the main ADX line which is usually black and 2 DI lines with one usually being green and the other one red.

Having an understanding of the ADX line is important. Its strength is usually determined by various factors. On the one hand, a rising ADX means that the trend is getting stronger. Conversely, when a trend appears to lose momentum or is reversing, then the ADX is usually going down. A sideways movement show a flat ADX.

The ADX does not show the direction of the trend. The ADX only tells how strong the trend is and whether the trand is losing strength.

The threshold of the ADX also matters a lot in terms of trend formation. The threshold works in numerous ways to determine the strength of the trend. For instance, if the ADX window reads at level 20.00, it implies that it is even. However, anything below that figure only means that the prices are in range. To view this, it requires that one should plot a vertical line at the ADX window at exactly the 20.00 level. The best status would be when it appears on the top as it implies a great strength that would probably continue.

About The DI Lines

The ADX indicator other side comprises an additional two DI lines. The red and green color codes DI lines are essential in many ways to the ADX functions. Aside from showing measurements of the trend strength, they are also known to provide their directional information. Protecting America From Foreign Interference: 5 Keys

While the past year, has been somewhat consumed, with a large degree of political issue, rhetoric, and promises, as well as accusations, most objective observers, as well as nearly every intelligence agency, has stated, there was, at the very least, a concerted effort, by a foreign nation and/ or nations, to interfere, in our elections. In addition, it's more recently been reported, many essential components of our infrastructure, including our energy grid, etc, have also, been hacked. Unfortunately, far too much energy, has been spent on, assigning blame, and pointing figures, and not enough, on preventing foreign interference, into the future! With that in mind, this article will attempt to review, consider, examine, and discuss, 5 key areas, which should be thoroughly considered, and wise decisions, should be focused - upon!

1. A thorough, truly bi - partisan (or even better, non - partisan) investigation, into what happened in the 2016 elections: Although President Donald Trump has seemed to be, one of the very few, to deny the existence, of any sort of concerted effort, by Russia, to interfere in last year's Presidential elections, most others believe, there was, at the very least, an effort to disrupt, and harm, our American system. The efforts, especially in the House of Representatives, has been insufficient, largely do, to the extremely partisan nature, and apparent objective, by a committee's chairperson, to avoid, any issue, which might disclose any involvement. The President's tendency to avoid any blame towards Russia, and refer anything, which doesn't meet his narrative, as fake news, combined with the committee's hasty dismissal, and avoiding using subpoenas, or questioning many essential witnesses, has made the process, ineffective. The further efforts, to weaken and attack, the F.B.I., and the efforts of Special Counsel Mueller, and Mr. Trump's tendency to speak, without having the facts (Fact - checkers state he has made approximately 6 mis - statements, per day), have hurt any efforts to learn, what happened, and seek viable ways, to avoid future interference,

2. What is occurring: Before we can discover how to address, and protect future elections, we need, to fully discover, and learn, what has occurred, and is occurring!

3. Discover our nation's strengths and weaknesses: We must protect our nation's strengths, which is our economic, and political liberties, as well as protecting all of the liberties and freedoms, we take for granted! Rather than merely using slogans, such as Make America Great Again, or using rhetoric, vitriol, and/ or taking a short - sighted, America - first philosophy, we need to identify areas of weakness, and/ or potential risk, and make us stronger, and more vigilant and aware!

4. Implement protections: Where are we most vulnerable, and why? Where might we be, in the future? We need to use our best, and brightest, to use the best protections, encryption techniques, etc, to ensure our democracy, is protected from any foreign interference and corruption!

5. Never again: Learn thoroughly, and strive forward, to become better! Let's focus on determining the past offenders, and, moving forward, to ensure it never happens again!

We must protect America, from foreign interference! Let's commit to the agreement, this should not be a partisan effort, but, rather, a concerted one, to ensure, democracy endures!
