Everybody sweats, it's a normal, healthy way to regulate the body temperature in hot weather, and during times of exercise. When we get hot, we sweat, and when the sweat evaporates, it cools us off. Sweating is a normal response to nervousness and anxiety, because emotions can also affect the sweat glands.

A few factors about why you sweat;

Male and Female

Men sweat the most, especially during rigorous exercising, and even though women have more sweat glands than men, they produce less sweat from each gland.

Body Mass

Because men are usually heavier and have more muscle mass, they tend to produce more heat than women do while exercising. So it seems that the higher a person's body mass index (BMI), the more they sweat.

Alcohol

Alcohol will increase your heart rate and dilate the blood vessels, making your skin look flushed. Too much alcohol consumption will raise your body temperature, causing you to sweat more.

Spicy Foods

Your body temperature will go up when you eat spicy foods, causing your body to produce sweat to help cool itself down.

Hot Weather

On hot sunny days your body temperature will rise, increasing the heart rate and the blood flow, trying to cool itself down. However, in humid weather, when there's more moisture in the air, it's harder for the sweat on your skin to evaporate, slowing down the cooling process.

Constant sweating

People who experience excessive sweating are suffering from a condition known as hyperhidrosis, and this condition causes them to perspire more than is necessary to regulate their body temperature.

Those of us who sweat a lot, know that it can cause inconvenience, be uncomfortable, and even be embarrassing in some situations, as some of us will find out as we begin a glorious sunny summer.

There are things that you can do to keep your sweating to a minimum;

Clinical strength antiperspirants - Try to use antiperspirants labelled as clinical strength, which usually has aluminium chloride as its active ingredient. And don't forget - antiperspirants keep you from sweating, whilst deodorants just make you smell nice when you sweat.

Botox injections - We can inject botox into the skin, to the areas of the body affected by hyperhidrosis. Botox helps to reduce sweating in these areas by blocking the signals from the brain to the sweat glands.

Diet - Calcium can slow down the sweating so eating calcium rich foods like low-fat yogurt, cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, almonds, baked beans, kale and collard greens will help to regulate temperature and reduce perspiration.

Botox hyperhidrosis treatment is an excellent alternative with outstanding results to stop excessive sweating.
