5 Things Elected Officials Should Know And Do

By Richard Brody

Wouldn't it be nice, if those, who serve and represent us, as public, elected officials, proceeded, consistently, with our best interests, as their priority, rather than focusing and prioritizing their own, personal agenda, and self - interests? In the United States of America, we often, witness, self - serving politicians, who, either, don't care, or are unwilling and/ or unable, to know, what's most relevant and sustainable, and, consistently, proceed accordingly! With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly consider, examine, and discuss, 5 things, we would all benefit by, if our elected officials did, and know.

1. Know what you want/ need, and what's best: Doesn't it often seem, when politicians run, for office, they make certain, populist promises, but, once, in office, rarely proceed, accordingly? Why do so many of these, seem to constantly be talking, at us, rather than speaking with us? In the Presidential elections of 2016, Donald Trump, articulated numerous populist forms of rhetoric and promises, often over - promising, and clearly, under - delivering, for many. Elected officials are supposed to serve all, not just their core supporters, yet, few do so. Rather, most seem to do, what their larger donors, desire, which often, differs from the common good!

2. Under - promise, and over - deliver: Politicians constantly make a wide variety of promises, with the hope and desire of getting elected! We should elect individuals, who are willing to, under - promise, and over - deliver. Until/ unless, they proceed, using common sense, and realistic approaches, how will the American public, benefit?

3. Keep their word/ integrity/ promises: Most public opinion polls, indicate, politicians, and/ or public officials, are considered, in a rather, unflattering way! They are perceived, often, as manipulative, and self - serving, and fail, to keep their word! We should demand, elected officials consistently maintain absolute integrity! What good are their promises, if they don't act, accordingly?

4. Solutions - oriented: President Trump has brought the Blame and Complain, approach, to heights, never previously envisioned! When faced with any objections to his plans, or questions, to his integrity, effectiveness, etc, he resorts, to using the scape - goat technique, blaming and complaining others, rather than taking personal responsibility. Don't we deserve to be represented by individuals, who are solutions - oriented, rather than focusing on rhetoric and political agenda?

5. Change - for the better: Historically, politicians, often, run, on a platform, of change! However, what good is change, if it doesn't make a quality difference, for the better?

We must demand better from those we elect, to be our public officials! Until/ unless, the American public stops being apathetic, and gullible, we will continue getting, what we have received!

Access Your Inner Mind by Ignoring It

By William T Batten

Most meditation coaches (myself included) will tell you to direct your attention inwards. But here's the thing - where's the fun in doing the same thing each time? There are no wrong approaches in meditation, only those that are less likely to work. So why don't we try to do the opposite of what everyone recommends?

If you struggle with meditation, then listen closely. The opposite of common wisdom might be exactly what you need.

I'm being a little dramatic. There are meditation coaches who recommend this technique. What I find interesting is that it's more common in the self-hypnosis community. Most things that work for one, work for the other, but the two groups don't share notes as often as they should.

When you combine the best techniques from self-hypnosis and meditation, you access your mind in a whole new way.

What is this technique that's the opposite of what most coaches teach?

Instead of focusing inwards on yourself, focus outwards.

Choose vision or hearing. Place your attention here. Use your mind to discern the shape and pattern of everything you're aware of. Focus on everything you see or hear. Open your mind, lower your defences and let the information pour in.

Once you lose yourself in the outer world, it's as if you lose yourself in your inner world.

And the best part?

You can meditate with your eyes open. You can do it while walking around. Heck - though I don't recommend this - you can do it while driving. The environment is rich, so drink it in and lose yourself among it.

Enter a trance by really seeing colour. Journey into your mind by following specific sounds. Let your consciousness dissolve as you gaze up at the clouds.

In other words, ignore your mind and you will enter it.

This process goes some way towards countering a common concern. Some hard-core meditators disengage from the world. The outer world can no longer compete with their inner experience, so they withdraw.

It's a shame and a waste. A good conversation with an experience meditator can literally change your life. The more you explore your mind, the more you see things differently. And what could be more valuable than a new perspective?

Paying attention to your surroundings, as a way of entering the meditative state, ties the two together. You can enter a trance and experience the world at the same time. And, in fact, you should.

If you'd like to learn more self-hypnosis techniques, I've barely scratched the surface. Brand new ways of engaging with your own mind are only a click away. Your training remains incomplete until you read about what it can do for you.

How to Naturally BOOST Testosterone Without Drugs or Danger

By Anthony J. Rigliosi

Who else is looking for a safe, easy and 100% natural way to boost testosterone? If you are anything like most of our readers, the truth is, over the age of 25 or so... you are losing more testosterone with every passing month, and this can have a bevy of negative side effects across all sorts of male performance metrics. (from the bedroom, to the boardroom the beach and beyond)

Simply stated, testosterone is linked to body mass, energy, mood, performance, sexual virility and so much more.

Let's look at some of the various ways to increase testosterone naturally from around the web below including, some unusual approaches like meditation, deep breathing exercises (like Wim Hoff breath work) cold showers, and more.

Lift Weights. Yes, there are many ways to stay in shape these days that DON'T require hitting the weight room in the gym. But when it comes to boosting testosterone through actual exercise, weight resistance training remains one of the very best ways to make it happen, naturally... and in a hurry. Some of our readers claim that lifting weights, even in moderation, can lead to 7-10% improvements in testosterone levels over a 2 month training period.

High interval training. (HIT) This is simply exercise based on EXPLOSIVE movements, over very short periods of time, with high intensity "bursts" repeated frequently. This is well known to be an easy way to improve all sorts of health markers for men, and testosterone levels are just one of the "healthy" hormone increases you'll see from this sort of routine.

Dietary changes can be a HUGE help in naturally increasing testosterone, and in 2 very decidedly different directions. Intermittent fasting has been shown to increase testosterone in 24 hours or less, often by large percentage increases.

16, 20 or even 24 hour fasts (no calories, only water) offer a bevy of benefits including potential longevity and anti-aging potentials as well.

On the other side of the dietary spectrum, increasing the amount of good fat in your diet can lead to dramatic natural gains in testosterone. Avocado, salmon, oily fish, nuts, seeds are all recommended for those of you looking for great gains without drugs, supplements or over the counter treatments.

Lastly, meditation is a great way to get all sorts of natural improvements in many hormones that regulate sexual performance, energy levels and more. Why? Cortisol, the stress hormone, is a well known drain on testosterone levels and meditation is a great way of reducing cortisol, as well as increasing all sorts of other "feel good" hormones in the brain, and body... and some believe, beyond!

What about you? What do you do to keep your system in optimal shape, especially as you age? Whatever your strategy is, and regardless of how "low" you may go, the good news is, there are many natural, safe and effective ways to improve "T" at any age, and the tips above are a great place to begin.

Is America In Danger of Repeating The Past?

By Sharron April Lee

I am a single woman of a certain age and have seen more than a few presidents. Some were effectual some were not. But there was always a respect for the office itself. People respected the President of the United States, like the Brits respect the Queen. In the United States, the office has been sullied. It is supposed to be the place where we elect the people who will serve our best interests. We being the people who pay the taxes.

We also are supposed to be a country of diversity and a melting pot of immigrants looking for a better life in America. This should not be a partisan issue but a bipartisan one.

This should be an America where all are welcome. Most immigrants want to be legalized, but cannot afford the representation or fees associated with accomplishing that goal.

Though I hear that the job market has rebounded, I personally can say in my life it has not. I was a mortgage processor, and since the crash it has been almost impossible to find a full time job where I can pay my bills and maybe save for my retirement. I am single, I cannot imagine how a family makes ends meet. Because of the way the job market has changed, I had to think outside the box and start my own website. I also went back to school which was paid for when Obama was in office by Workforce.

I am an American, and I have trouble finding full time out side work. I cannot imagine if I had to find a job without documentation. Where is the mercy? The jobs most immigrants work, American's would not do. I know from experience that they are the hardest working people. They appreciate what they have and are always smiling even though sometimes they work over 80 hours a week. I get humbled by them.

Since the election, the man in office has tried to decimate the office in every way possible. People who are hardworking people paying taxes and are being separated from families after being in this country for years without having commit any crimes because the man in office believes all immigrants are murders, and deviants. How can you slam people on Twitter just because they do not agree with you?

The KKK is back and racism at an all-time high. Is this our America now? Have we lost all humanity? We as a people need to get out there and vote for our rights. Vote for healthcare that will not cripple our wallets. Vote for a new tax deal that really will help the middle class. We the people have power. We are the voice of change. If not now when?
