Swarm Warfare Multi-Projectile Burstiness Approach to Overwhelming Enemy Defense Systems

There is a branch of mathematics that deals with peak usage, and it can be used in automobile and highway traffic optimization, aircraft control, peak cell tower demand, predicting rogue waves in the ocean, and data transfer solutions. Artificial Intelligence with the use of this math and carefully crafted algorithms can predict bottlenecks, divert traffic and come up with optimized routing.

Now then, I ask, can the mathematics of "burstiness" be used in military technologies to protect our forces against the onslaught of a swarm attack? Well, our think tank was working on this problem not long ago, and let me explain why.

You see, it stands to reason that the latest and greatest military ship defense system are robust enough to handle incoming swarm munitions, however, what if those systems are overwhelmed by false positives or at the onset of detection, we don't have enough data on the projectiles to determine if they are void of a warhead or false positive decoys purposefully used to overwhelm our computer tracking system tracking perhaps 1000s of units in the swarm.

Further, even if the grid area of incoming projectiles as they pass from alert zones, to kill zones is diverted to secondary systems during secondary and third waves? As the defense system senses this rush, it must allocate resources at the most optimum possible to ensure it survives the onslaught, by using this type of mathematical algorithms solving the problem in this way perhaps swarm style attacks on our military ships can be stopped.

If we consider such things as divide and conquer, perhaps this means concentrating on the center mass (biggest concentration) of first penetrators of the outer zone, allowing the debris to take out additional incoming ordinance then concentrating on the other ends with multiple Aegis guns, then sweeping the middle again.

Just as the burstiness of satellite transmissions are diverted to additional satellites until each one is at its maximum. As long as we know the maximum and our enemies do not, and as long as we hold the algorithm and AI systems secrets to this success, we should be able to meet all incoming projectiles without loss of one of our expensive floating assets.

For an offensive swarming system onto the enemy, if we know their defense weapon systems limitations, all we have to do is to render a burstiness beyond its capability and it cannot survive. We know how systems work, and when and why they don't and we have the math to prove it. Don't Hesitate - Be Great.
