What Kind Of Leaders Deserves Your FAITH?

While it is important for stakeholders in an organization, whether it be a business, not - for - profit organization, civic or governmental group, to respect the principles and ethics/ missions, that may, at times, be somewhat different than automatically respecting a specific individual, who might have been elected or selected, to a position of leadership! One of the greatest challenges confronted by sincere stakeholders, is to determine who deserves their trust, and who to adopt a wait - and - see philosophy, and discover, whether they earn it! What kind of leader, therefore, deserves your FAITH?

1. Face facts; free - thinking; faithful:

Discover when someone is truly faithful to the principles, ideas, and ideology, the group stands for, or simply those things which extend/ support his personal narrative/ point of view! Does he prefer repeating debunked lies and innuendos, for political/ personal gain, or will he proceed to face the facts, and seek the best solutions, even if they might not be the most popular? Is he an ideologue, fixed on a single approach/ perspective, or is he a free- thinker, who proceeds with an open - mind, to examine and consider alternatives, in a well - considered, careful manner?

2. Attitude; aptitude; action; alternatives:

What type of attitude does one possess, a positive, can - do, type, or a more negative, problematic one? How often does the individual state things are problems, versus challenges? Is he committed enough to consistently study, train, learn and improve, or does he believe he knows - it - all? Only the former develops the necessary aptitude? Does he continue with the rhetoric and the blame - game, or does he create, develop and implement a strategic plan, as well as an action plan? Is he open to alternatives, or is his mindset, My way or the highway?

3. Ideas; integrity; ideology; impetus:

Is he the impetus for, or impediment to, necessary, well - developed changes? Does he demonstrate the ability to come forth with relevant ideas? Is his ideology aligned with the mission and principles of the organization? Does he exhibit absolute integrity, even when it might be easier and more expedient, to take some sort of shortcut, with the facts or truth?

4. Timely; trustworthy:

Are his approaches relevant, realistic and timely, so that they make a true difference for the better? Is he a trustworthy, well - intentioned, principled person?

5. Helpful; healing; head/ heart:

Are his suggestions and approaches, focused on healing and unity, or do they drive divisiveness and a polarizing environment? How helpful might his leadership really be? Does he balance his emotional and logical components, in a head/ heart balance?

It's hard for stakeholders and constituents to follow someone, unless they have FAITH in him, both as a leader, and as a human being! How do you determine who you might believe in?
